Coconut is really amazing when you start to learn more about it, like how the body does not store it but immediately uses it for energy – increasing your metabolism. There’s much to learn about coconuts and their health benefits and unfortunately the coconut has gotten a bad rap.
The amazing thing about coconuts is that it’s a saturated fat, but a very healthy one for our bodies. Eating coconut or coconut oil makes you feel satiated, gives you extra energy and increases your metabolism. Eating coconut can actually help you lose weight!
Having raw coconut as a snack can be a great way to ensure that you’re not hungry between meals so you don’t cheat or worse binge on some junk food. It will make you feel full and you can still eat the snacks that are part of the Beyond Diet program.
I’m able to get coconuts at my local grocer and then open them up and store them in the fridge and have some as a snack when ever I want.
Check out this video for opening up a coconut. It provides you with the basic ways to open a coconut that are safe to do. I personally use a corkscrew to make a hole in the eye and drain out the fluids and then wrap the coconut in a couple of plastic bags and smash it on the garage floor to break it into pieces.
So if you’re on the Beyond Diet program you’re going to want to make coconut a part of your daily meal planning to take advantage of the benefits. This is the secret ingredient to your successful weight loss as you’ll never go hungry because coconut helps you feel satisfied between meals and snacks helping you to avoid snacking on junk food.
