It’s Not A Scam!
I thought that I’d create a page documenting that I assure you that Beyond Diet is not a scam. As a member of the program I can attest to it’s legitimacy. The program is very professional and comprehensive. There’s more information in the website than you can possibly use and at the same time anything you want to ask can be answered buy the thousands of questions that have already been asked. And if your question hasn’t been answered already I assure you that someone will provide you with an answer quickly. The answer may even come from Isabel herself – I know because she answered one of my questions
.
The Beyond Diet program isn’t like many other online weight loss programs in that the aim of the program is to teach you what to eat to lose weight via a metabolic diet so that you eat the foods your body wants to stay healthy and satiated and at the same time lose weight because you’re eating fewer calories. After you get past the sales page about the 5 foods to never eat you’ll see that the program’s foundation is based on avoiding sugars, processed foods and anything that isn’t natural for our bodies to process. This doesn’t mean you can only eat organic. All it means is that you eat food that’s as good as you can possibly find or afford and you will begin to feel better and lose weight safely.
When I had given up on Weight Watchers (because I always felt like I was starving and I couldn’t stop the weight from coming back) I started looking for a different approach and I stumbled upon a book called Eat Fat Lose Fat by Dr. Mary Enig and Sally Fallon Morell. As I was reading it I immediately connected with their approach to dieting and nutrition because all of the things they said would happen to me with the diets I’d previously tried absolutely happened to me. I was hungry all the time so I cheated. I didn’t feel great at all and I barely had enough energy to exercise. I’d usually finish exercising feeling desperate to eat some kinda sugary food or refined carbohydrate and spiral out of control.
Now I tried the Eat Fat Lose Fat diet for about 10 months and really struggled with the complexity of the program because it’s a very rigid diet. The majority of the recipes were too difficult for my family and I to make and because you use a lot of coconut oil the taste of the meals was something that we just couldn’t overcome. In fact the main principle of the Eat Fat Lose Fat diet is to eat 1 to 2 tablespoons of coconut oil 20 minutes before every meal because it will make you feel fuller and coconut oil boosts your metabolism.
I just couldn’t do it
The good news for me was that the majority of the same principles are ingrained in Beyond Diet but Isabel doesn’t state that eating 1 to 2 tablespoons of coconut oil is required to lose weight. She recommends that you use coconut oil for cooking and you can eat it raw if you want for the nutritional purposes but it is not needed. As soon as I could see that all of the ideas behind Eat Fat Lose Fat were in Beyond Diet but without all of the strict rules and difficult recipes and meal plans to follow I was happy man!
Beyond Diet is an everyday part of my life now and I can tell you with absolute honesty that I do not have any cravings for sugary foods or refined carbohydrates. I’ve pretty much eliminated grains from my meals and I’ll have an occasional piece of bread with almond butter as a snack.
